NYC Open Mat...Sundays, 1-3pm

Not sure if I ever announced it here, but we began an open mat at the club recently. Open to anyone who wants to come work out, spar, train, etc. From 1-3pm. $10. We have had really good turn outs so far with guys from lots of NYC clubs coming to train together.

Hope to see more bullies there :)

Definately interested. I should hopefully be back in BJJ on Monday (sholder is still not 100%, but at my age nothing ever is). If everything holds together I'll stop by soon.

Will there be folks there willing to work ground and pound with me so I can work on defending strikes off of my back?

Most of the weaknesses I have that I want to work on are MMA related. I tend to get tired too quickly mixing striking and takedowns. I have trouble switching gears to takedown defense after a striking exchange.

i have never been to another sambo gym other than the gym i train at now i might stop by this sunday especially since its so hard to find a place where i can train on sundays if not this sunday next sunday is a definite
