**** the ideals of aikido. It seems like your desire to branch out conflicts with aikikai's dogma. Define for yourself what you want out of martial arts. If that's to learn new things and be exposed to other arts, aikikai is holding you down. Why not pursue karate full-time or find a judo school (or other martial arts)?

    1) aikido is fun and technically challenging which I like about it. 2) karate is good exercise and it's fun to spar and break stuff but I don't think it's going to hold my attention 3) really wish I could find a judo school but where I live, I only can take japanese karate, okinawan karate or tae kwon do so I went for japanese karate (they impressed me by breaking baseball bats)

I have niether the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide, and then questions the manor of which I provide it.

there are many mix martial arts in panama city. i know i am from there. just because they dont open the doors for profit does not mean that they are not there. i will be back home in a couple months and you can then look what it is to do, not just wish to do.

A florida throwdown would be cool. But Florida is a long state! Orlando to Panama City's like a 6 1/2 hour drive.

    Regards,
    Matt
