    I switch from the De La Riva in nogi to this and usually come up into single legs.

    In gi, it's even easier for them to simply grip pants, pin your legs and pass. As Omega says, this position requires mobility, and good abiltiy to spin and alter angles. In gi, the second they snatch your pant legs, all of that is lost.
