Maybe I should rent a USP for a while and see how I like it. I guess it's popular enough to be in a lot of contemporary references.
True story: before I got my 1911 I was rolling with my Ruger P97. I decided to get a different gun for competition, since everyone tended to LOL at my using it. One guy couldn't believe I had placed in one competition using it, although I love that gun and think everyone is crazy.
Anyway, inspired by Soldier of Fortune 2, a video game, I saw a HK mk 23 used in my favorite gun shop one day and thought, "This is it, I'll use this mk 23, it is so big that I will totally see the sights well and everything!"
But when I dry fired it in the store it was SO big I didn't feel I would have a good grip. The guy behind the counter told me I would probably shoot worse with it, plus it was like 2000 bucks.
Having been punked by the legendary "SOCOM", and realizing that it was made for men beefier than myself, I ended up getting a used 1911, which I still use today in competiton.

Looking at the text it sounds like they are looking to appeal to 1911 shooters. I would like to try one out.

I have been too busy to be here but it has not been easy.
For my two cents, I must say that that was one of the coolest weeks of my life. The instructors are some very cool, humorous, and deadly mofos- people I could hang with often. I cannot express the depths of their abilities and ability to convey what they know in a manner easily absorbed by beginners. It was a rare and precious opportunity. I thank them heartily.
The Bullshido contingent was a cross section of awesome people who share a love of martial skillz and know how to train.
We started early and went long, and there were ZERO complaints. Quite the opposite in fact. We couldnt get enough.
I cannot express my appreciation enough for the knowledge Skeletor, Big Scott, Tac-Man and Mike gave to us. At times it was like trying to herd second graders some of us were so green, but they were patient and professional, and gave freely of their time to a bunch of weekend warriors (aside from the girls who are weeklong warriors!).
Could not have had more fun unless it involved after-massages at the ole rub and tug!!!
Did I say that out loud?
