Is this cops mag in backwards?

Ok I saw this pic and instantly noticed that it appears the magazine in the rifle is in backwards and seems longer than normal for what I would assume to be a 30 round AR mag. Is this a new style magazine for AR's? Would being a high cap mag explain the shape and seemingly extra length?

I always thought banana mags were shaped that way cause the back end of a bullet or shell is wider ...

They didn't. There is a sort of guide rail on the back of m16/ar mags that fits a groove in the magazine well. Turning the mag backwards makes it instantly unable to fit into the well. She must have worked like a ************ to get it wedged in there the few cm she did. But it is obvious that she was never given any training at all on the rifle and frankly must be a bit retarded to not notice that the bullets faced towards her in the mag, the mag never got close to the chamber, and the obvious it doesn't even remotely fit. Having pistol training she should be familiar with how magazines fit into weapons.
