I don't think there IS a best body type. Obviously not too much fat, and you want lots of muscle, but that's not a clearly defined body type. It also depends on your style. Kyokushin karate fighters are all stocky and big to absorb impact. TKD fighters are all lean no muscle because they don't really need power. Honestly, my advice would just be to go for the best version of your natural body type.
