Best way to solidify your disdain and prove your point is to go to a kyokushin dojo and ask them to spar, both their regular kumite and with head strikes with gloves. Otherwise shut the **** up.
    [QUOTE]

What does that prove? Of course they can beat my ass in their Kumite, I've never spent any real time in a striking martial art. I'm making my opinion based on what I have witnessed. The fact that I would get my ass handed to me by an Kyokushin karateka in Kyokushin rules is obvious.

I'm talking about it's effectiveness shown by this video, I would now be much more likely to learn how to Box, or Kickbox/thai box, than spend my time learning Kyokushin in order to learn how to strike.

BTW, thank you for that second video, I've been looking for this video.

ONE VIDEO MADE YOU LOSE RESPECT. That's what makes no sense. I'm sorry but, not every BB in the world can be as good as your expectations.

I'm watching an actual black belt Kyokushin karateka flail around like a idiot in an actual fight. I think it's pathetic.
I think your cheerleading is pathetic. YMAS is for Style vs Style bullshit not the style TMA forums.

I respect Shotokan because of the explosiveness, I think this gives them a real advantage, especially with their punching, which is going to be your main tool in an actual fight(restricting pants, etc.).
    So, you respect this?
    YouTube- Shotokan Kumite

2nd Dan uh oh I must not respect any Shotokahn. Guys flailing, turning his back, screaming and running.

No No, don't argue you set the criteria.

What am I watching here, Shotokan for senior citizens, lmao.

Any way you're right, It's stupid for me to base such a drastic opinion of such a bad ass martial art on a single video.

Really? I see boxers in that video BEING knocked out. *sounds the gong of enlightenment*

BJJ is specifically grappling, and they dominate in it. How does showing two white belts compare with a Black Belt Kyokushin flailing around?
And what does Kyokushin dominate? (Hint: it was mentioned in the thread.)

If you know about a green belt judoist who can kick Matsui's ass, let us know, asap.

This clip is a friendly sparring session between Taikiken and Kyokushin practitioneers. Both schools are related as Sakai and Oyama were friends back in the day.

Does it matter? You do know the story behind the OLD video you posted right? His actions make perfect sense to me.

    edit:
DCS helped save you from further silliness.

Didn't look very friendly to me, lol. Anyway thanks for the background.

I can't PM you, but you mentioned this thread needs to be in YMAS, and you already gave me an infraction, can you move it to YMAS?
