Is that supposed to be a BJJ Black Belt on the fat guy in the second video?

Trying it on some people would be a waste of time but if someone isn't very flexible then yes it can certainly be effective. I just wouldn't get to that technique the way he shows it. Generally I've seen it used against over aggressive beginners who are trying to slide up the body before they've cleared their legs and leave themselves off balance with little to no weight on the front leg.

The second video is, in theory, a pretty straight forward ankle attack/toe hold although I would consider it more of a technique to annoy someone and get them to move than an actual submission. He's blocking the toes from moving with his inside leg and then twisting the heel with his other leg. Interesting trick, I just dont know that I would put it in my toolkit as a primary move.

And yes, I've tapped people via leg lockdown but they were total noobs and were more caught by surprise than anything else.
It's clearly an ankle lock/calf crusher thing going on. No way is that a bsplit.

To be fair they have competition vids:

Well, two spastic white belts not doing very well on the ground doesn't really account for much.

Ok now this is on the same account as the first technique. No further investigation is needed.

This inspires me to invent a Ponytail Choke.

It's where I choke a guy with my ponytail.

In theory you can apply the same principles of a straight ankle lock from the lockdown position: isolate the ankle and restrict movement (the leg that is on the Achilles tendon) then hyperextend the foot past it's normal range of motion (using pressure from your other leg on the top of the foot.

That being said, it is extremely difficult to get the exact leverage needed or maintain proper control of the limb using only your feet. This move will more than likely turn into a calf cruncher and/or cause general discomfort rather then be an ankle lock. It should be said that if your opponent is wearing wrestling shoes you will have a better chance of getting this to work.
