Hope you heal quick! Miscommunication sucks, but cranking a partner into injury sucks more.

Of note- my mom, who you met, is in town. We got to roll some last night at the gym, and I tapped when an innocuous head lock turned into an ear-grind, almost jaw dislocation. One of the students laughed that I tapped to her, till I mentioned that. She's a mean one, and she admitted she was using dirty old woman tricks on me because she could :). But she still didn't injure me.

He is, who knows maybe I put the heel hook on harder than I thought. Although I let it go when it was clear I'd have to crank it to get the tap.

Good news is, my knee is only tender and not swollen or painful.

At Valhalla, I always say, "I am now applying a heel hook, feel free to tap, but I will let go in about 2 seconds."

When are you going to quit falling on your sword?

What injury does he have exactly?

Never chalk up such a thing to purposeful behavior when poor communication can explain it.

    1) That it doesn't work
    2) That it does work"

That's bollocks in this context, you should never have to communicate "please don't crank on the knee destroying leg locks, thanks".
