    Training on the road

Just got word I am being sent to a trade show for my company. The day after I come back I am compeating in a tournement.
Realistically, I can only train about an hour a day on the road (that's how busy I'll be).
Question is where? Most Hotel gyms have crap for space.
Do I struggle to find a place? Or do I just settle for streaching and staying limber?

    Suggestions?

look for a gym in the area where you will be, I have called dojo and said I am new can I come in for a class to see how I like it. I once hit four places in one trip. beats sitting alone in a bar right after work.

After reading Jekyll's threads I bring back an old sig.......

Do you really train or just bore people on message boards and parties talking about it.

or you can call a dojo and tell them you have experience and want to train with them. I've done it, and have had people ask the same of where I train. It's all good.

What type of tournament are you training for?

Hell I've done Kardio Kickboxing class to stay in shape when I travel! You look kinda funny wearing Thai shorts and footwraps when everyone else is in spandex and shoes. But the workouts can be good cardio.

Where will you be? Here iis my suggest:

Heavily citied area: If beach is close, go there to run (running on sand is different from running on concrete), park, and similar place. Also try find hotel with gym in it (some even have yoga room or whatever which have enough space to train)

Semi citied area: try go out to mountain and run up hill and climb around, that will improve your condition ALOT!

Rural (which is very unlikely) same as above unless you are in place like arkanasa then I don't really know... May slap the bull and run from it as it charge for you or join a hog wrestling compete :-D
I would pick bag work over masturbating, fighting over sex, and KOing someone over having a orgasm!

You're not going to be on the road that long.
    Get a solo training program.

    Thanks for the replies.
It's a TMA tournement. it's nothing High stakes, and very tame compared to what a lot of people here train for.
I'll be working in Las Vegas....Yes working, I promise.
My main concern is floor space for kata practice. I can practice close in/sparring techniques in a hotel room if I have too.
This could all be a moot discussion. I may be working too much to even worry about this.
I would like tp plan to train, but to be honest, my schedule will be in the hands of The Man.
