    Oh, there's no doubt about the US's contrubutions to metal. I'm more talking about modern bands, who play what sounds like high-school-jock metal. Bands who took Dethklok's Face Fisted a little too seriously. You know what I'm talking about. On that subject-

    I actually don't. If you're referring to metalcore, you can thank melodic death metal for that, actually, since it pretty much all sprang up from Slaughter Of The Soul worship.
    There are currently good American bands in every possible sub-genre, metal in general, or American metal in particular, are only unhealthy to people who aren't bothering to dig.
