Well it's a fact that Kyuss, Fu Manchu, and Queens of the Stone Age all shared musicians and have a similar sound.

Kyuss is (imho) more "hard rock" (though quite outer-spacey), Fu Manchu is more stoner rock, and Queens goes even further to that sort of hypno-rock they are known best for.

Corrosion of Conformity is another great band in this genre. Though not purely metal, they can sure hammer the heavy **** out.

This is my favorite Clutch song....and I have many favorite Clutch songs :)

This is one to play when you're blazing along a Texas highway outside Amarillo at 90 mph.

Anyone leaning at all towards the punk end of metal?
    They've mingled in the past.
There aren't any punk rockers training in Boston. I know a few do in Chicago and New York. Either way, here's my contribution.

    WHAT A LAUGH.

    Hey would you hear me
The out of it kid wants to be accepted
    Will you listen
Got my mail with a giant will
Now I got a bed made of ten dollar bills
Always knew luck was on my good side
    Now I'm laughing at you
No use trying to pry into my life
    Now I'm laughing at you

    What a laugh
    Concealed guilt
Friends for life is your motto
    Can't believe it
    Sneaky move
    Just been proved
Now it's your turn to take abuse
Always knew luck was on my good side
    Now I'm laughing at you

    Double dealer
    I'm aware what you do
    Foolish maneuver
    I can see right through

    Get away
    Get away from me
    Get away
    Get away you leech
    Now I'm laughing at you
No use trying to pry into my life
    Now I'm laughing at you

Waitin' for me, See I'm leavin'
