I just thought I'd drop in and say I just bought Distrubed's new album, Asylum, and as usual it's great.

Once again the feel is different to thier other albums, but it's just as addictive. I'm honestly always surprised with how different the tracks are from what I expect, and this is a good thing.

The album isn't being released in the US until 8/31...how the hell....lucky fucker.

Disturbed is the band I've seen most in concert (five times including Ozzfest). I first saw them in Springfield, MA during their debut tour around 2000 and I was hooked.

The show opened with David D. in shadows, sitting in an electric chair in an orange jumpsuit and being given his last rites by a booming, ominous voice. Following a strobe of flashes and seeing his contorted body and face twitch like a man on fire, he leaped from the chair and into "Down with the Sickness", and I knew from that moment on Disturbed would be one of those bands keeping real metal alive.

A lot of the "nu metal" bands had come from the NE area (Springfield, Hartford, Boston) and I hated the whiny, detuned drudge of it all. God bless Disturbed for keeping speed riffing and monster walls of sounds in our faces. God bless them, every one.

It came out on the 27th in aus, my dear.

I haven't seen Disturbed live, yet. Everytime they're in the country I haven't been able to get there, had no money or I was out of the damn country.

I first heard them on the Queen of the Damned soundtrack (The Sickness) And fell in immediate love. Every album I've bought has been both their signature feel, their impressive and addictive riffs and yet different from the last.
I have real respect for artists who can constantly evolve and change without losing themselves.
    Some of my faves.

Disturbed's vocalist is awesome. I saw them on my birthday a couple of years ago.

Whenever they're here next I'm going. I have to.
I'll bribe my friends to come (none of them are metal fans, and I'm not really a concert person) and see them live... finally.

This song gets me pumped for workouts. The chorus is Nathan Explosion reminding us of how much he hates us.

Hope you can see a show....David D. is one of the best frontmen I've ever seen....how he maintains those vocals is beyond me....I think if Bruce Dickinson and David Draiman sang the same note at the same time, the universe might collapse on itself.

Bring all your MA skills to the Disturbed mosh pit, you will need them to survive.

    Muhahahahahahhhahhaaha. ANOTHER VICTIM DIES TONIGHT!

There are a lot of great live performances of this song, but this is my favorite.

    Easter egg at 3:12.
