Apart from me not being able to kick straight that's one of the main reasons why I hate the game. You get fouled for shoving over someone that bitch tackles you and if you get into breathing distance of some of the smaller players theyre likely to fall over and have a cry.

essentially football is a mixture of taekwondo and acting

He had already broken his other shoulderbone and plate, one calfbone, one shinbone, his arms, some fingers, some toes and a few ribs.
I asked which Martial Art he practised and the mother said "Oh no! He plays soccer".
I had a friend who was interested in working out at my gym, but she decided to do Rollerderby instead of Muay Thai because her husband didn't want her getting hurt. :icon_roll

Someone that started roller derby with her broke their leg before they could train enough to qualify for the team, and my friend had had enough and quit after her first actual game.

There was something like this in the crap free paper today. I didn't really think it was as 'martial arts in the news' worthy, but seeing as there's a thread now:
    http://www.metro.co.uk/weird/834917-...way-to-success

Shaolin have the real deadly marketing ... but yes, Shaolin Soccer was there years ago.

Martial art? It's a summer camp activity, it's not even a real sport.

Football and Rugby totaly helped. Football is a good way to get agression and toughness (constantly getting tackled ftw?) mostly the conditioning I was interested in though and diddn't stay very long (actually I got kicked out)

I heard Soccer is good for kick accuracy? sweeps? or something like that? nothing beats a epic soccer game!
the coolest football game I had was this day it was raining really hard and whe went to the muddiest and grassiest field ever it was so epic! (I wanna do it again lol)
