That's great, Steve! I can't believe how much SAMBO is finally here in Texas. I'll see you in a few weeks for the seminar and hopefully I'll be competing in the fall. Is there going to be another Hadjiev order?
AoD, here are the Freestyle SAMBO rules from the ASA website. -

Naszir,
Yes there is a huge boom in Texas! Thanks for posting the rules for me :)
AoF,
The rules are very different in that you have comparatively short time on the ground and don't score for passes, positions, etc. Once you read the rules, feel free to ask questions. -

Leg lock restrictions? Never heard that about our event before. The only thing you can't do in B division is heel hook. A division, heel hooks are allowed (A div is for coaches and persons who won the B division tournament in the past). Those aren't bad. The leg lock restrictions are weak, but expected.
How much are the jackets and special belts/decoder rings usually?
We are looking into ordering a mass # of Hadjiev jackets to have on hand. Reversable will be $100, single color $80. I also know other sources for cheaper pakistani jackets. -
