I have nearly 15 years continuous study of koryu Iai, I've also studied other koryu within that period.

I've studied Kendo for about the same period (on and off)

I've studied Aikido for 22 years continuously

So what exactly does my "background" have to do with my ability to discuss koryu from first hand experiences over a decade and a half vs. yours ? A self confessed regurgitater of third-hand information on the subject.

What martial arts do you study anyway ?

Well his profile says "Ghetto Ryu". The first google I did on that turned up this:

Which oddly enough is a letter from a Darrell Simon.

The math on the authors age just doesn't seem right though. The post is from 2006 and the writer says he is 42 yo...but he says he was 13 in 1974. If he was 13 in 74 that makes a BD of 1961. A BD of 61' means an age of 45 on 06' doesn't it?
