There are Thai styles and Dutch styles of muaythai. Two very different schools of thought on the same sport. There are things to be learned from both.

Muay Thai has the same kicks as many other styles, you just don't see them very often in competition, so yes they do have crescent kicks.
Now a better question would be why are you learning crescent kicks when the bread and butter of Muay Thai is the round house kick, in a variety of fashions, and the front kick, or Teip.安氏八极拳学生 -

Hi KidSpatula, if you could expand on what some of the differences are between the two, I for one would be really interested to learn.
Lu Tze, are you saying England is the richest country the earth has ever known, or America? And what are you basing that on, because if its per capita, I'm not so sure about that. -

Thai style muaythai schools typically have a strong focus on the intricacies of the clinch, fast round kicks and teeps. Dutch style schools have a stronger emphasis on "kickboxing" combinations and hard leg kicks. The stances and footwork between the two styles are drastically different as are the kicking mechanics.
