Roy Nelson vs. Brock Lesnar

Yes, you read the title correctly—and apparently I'm the only one who is super pumped about this—but according to a specific MMA news site unmentionable here:

Lesnar vs. Velasquez up next for UFC title; Dos Santos vs. Nelson winner on deck

This could quite possibly turn into one of the biggest upsets in the history of Mixed Martial Arts. How awesome would it be to see Big Country as not only the UFC HW Champion, but also the #1 heavyweight in the world. Now if only Nelson can get past JDS.

Your thoughts?

EDIT: WAR NELSON!! And I knew Dana would immediately throw Nelson in with the sharks—you know, because he likes him so much.

I just don't see Nelson beating Lesnar. I can see Roy surviving Brock better than alot of the guys who have fought him, but I am having a hard time seeing him beating brock. The power difference is just too extreme.

It would make me happy in my naughty place if I was wrong tho.

As long as UFC keeps testing for steroids and keeps not testing for biscuits'n gravy, Nelson has a chance.

If Nelson beats JDS I'll eat McDonalds for dinner for a month, if he beats Cockchest I'll eat it for a year.

Seeing as how Roy's physique is the anti-Lesnar I predict he will be the one to take the title away from him. Roy is the most unlikely contender to beat Brock and the betting odds against Roy will be quite large. For these reasons I think Roy will pull it off, if he gets past Dos Santos.

It would be karmic justice for Brock and his ego to lose to someone he would be believe to be his physical inferior and for Dana to get stuck with a champ that he dislikes more than Brock.

As much as I would love to see Roy Nelson win and take it all, I think it would be quite a tall order. I also think that him getting past JDS is by no means a given, although I think he has a better chance there. Either way, I'm always psyched to watch him fight.
