    Kung Fu Silliness

I found these videos recently of some guys sparring with "kung fu." They look like they're trying to re-enact some chop socky flick. There's spinning and jumping, as well as t3h d34dly drunken fist and praying mantis style. Have a good laugh.

To be fair, that's the closest thing I have ever seen to sparring with those kung fu techniques, so I have to give them a little credit. Still would get destroyed in a real fight sadly.

for what this is I don't see anything wrong with what they are doing. I think it's awsome adn they are quite skilled to be able to flow through thier sequences like that. Its not full contact mma style vale tudo but they weren't trying for that.

We don't know if they are skilled in sparring. That was controlled, no contact, no pads sparring. It says what it is right in the description. Hell, we used to work on techniques in a similar fashion just not as dramatic. That's what happens when people play up to the camera.

Seriously, if you are going to pick at them find a sparring video.

There are also some videos of them sparring with pads. Here is one, it's much different and not as acrobatic but more realistic:
YouTube- Blake Vs Leif in Sparring
    YouTube- Jason Vs Nathan
Still not very good. I do give them points in the other videos for using some actual kung fu techniques from forms here and there, though. It's hard to find that as most people resort to TKD-style fighting in tournaments. I really don't condescend towards them or anything, I just think some of the techniques are a little fanciful and that some of the members of this forum would like to see it.

Nice back peddling. Now let me just say you're full of ****. You wanted to be one of the "cool kids" so you thought you found some videos to make fun of, with hopes we would jump in. We didn't.

Okay, so there is a tall guy sparring someone smaller? What's your point.

The second video is like TKD? You have no clue.

Yet, here is the video you used to recommend another school.

YouTube- NY WU TANG - Fighting compilation

I see a ton of similarities to your OP. The difference is faster and a little harder. Just as much flow, choreographed looking attacks, and kung fu techniques.
