I still have no GI. I have 2 options:
One that costs 1100 and the other costs 1600 (Adidas). I don't know if the second is so much expensive because of the brand or if it's really so much better than the other.
The difference is quite big. Are GI's so easily ripped? Should I buy the expensive one?

How easily they rip depends on what you do. Anything grappling oriented, yes. Never had even a cheapo one rip in Hapkido.

Toraki is a great value. I love my Atama.
Normally, I'd say I was grappling, but I was taking down and mounting people, and JFS has kindly informed us that takedowns and being mounted are neither grappling nor anti grappling, so I'm not sure what the **** I was doing. Maybe schroedinger's sparring, where it's neither grappling nor anti-grappling until somoene observes it and collapses the waveform, and then I RNC a cat to death.----fatherdog

Heard about some issues with the cut of atama's for those of us who have shoulders.

I'm waiting for my double weaveKikskin to come in (got it at cost biatches).

Heavy double weaves are gnarly at first. Hurts to grip at first. One of my instructors uses those at tournaments. Personally, I wouldn't wear one for practice because

a.) By the time you get to tournaments, they'll be softer

b.) You might as well practice in a way that it makes it easier for people to grip and choke you.
