Hey Southpaw, thanks for your expert advice. I could try to justify myself or make excuses as to why I still suck at the chun after 3 years of off and on training, but I feel like that would be pissing into the wind.

Good work in escaping the viral mind plague that is the Chun. It is a disease. I was in it for 3.5 years, was moving into doing some assistant instructing and had to bail.

Just received my BJJ blue belt last night (OMG LOLS), and I'm not looking back!

If you want a great striking art that does what the Chun wants to and is effective, it's Muay THAI.

Haha. I like you guys, I wasn't making a joke about you, I honestly wasn't sure if that show was known outside of North America well.

    Miyagi! Miyagi! Miyagi!

Good on you bro. When you fighting next? And more importantly, when you fighting in Sydney so I can cheer you on?

It's all good, shelbydeth. Barney has been shown here in the past. It's like a little Americas down under.

Haha thanks, man! I was thinking about heading to the Machado Asia Pacific Champs, but not sure (Melbourne is still closer to Sydney than Brisbane, isn't it?) haha. Damn, even the Pan Pacs are in Melbourne, why the comps gotta hate on Sydney? But there's a couple of local ones up here I'll try and make it to to get pwn'd in the Blue division :seppuku:. Kinda lame those Gracie comps don't allow kneebars at Blue. What's up with that!? [/thread hijack]

Even better that you're starting at a Gracie school.

Good luck, and remember: WAAAAX ON, WAAAAAAAAX OFF!!!11!!one

Now how could someone who is clueless after 3 years of style x become ahead of the cure in style y?

look around, lots of people use the "chun" excuse. "hey, I sucked while doing Wing Chun and now after taking an AWSOME style everyone can fight well in I am amature at best!" :psyduck:
