    Hell yeah! Hell no!

TV shows: Best & Worst fight choreography?

I nominate Human Target for best. (almost any episode. great close quarters action) Film-quality FMA choreography to rival bourne trilogy without the nausea-inducing shaky camera cuts.

    I nominate Chuck for worst. (season 2 - 3)
The way the sequences are shot aren't even done well and the choreography itself is the most basic wooden karate demo kata you can imagine.

anyone know of any other good or horrifyingly bad choreography in tv shows.

Do we count the ones where it is VERY obvious the stunt man has replaced the Star?

How far back can we go?

Just TV, right? The show Burn Notice has had two or three episodes with some decent MA done by the actual actor...I've seen some SAMBO, BJJ, aikido, and nondescript striking. In real life he's a BB in aikido from some time ago but has been spending the last several years working to get a BB in BJJ...and is, in general, a fitness and martial arts enthusiast. Read an article about him in Men's Health (or similar) magazine. From what I remember they were quality, I'll have to take another look at it.

What was that show with the chubby asian (Chinese?) guy that was supposed to be a cop or private eye on the show? I remember the opening sequence where he (or a stunt double) did a flip down some stairs. He was like a noted kung fu guy or something like that.

Damn, can't think of any others...I will say that Kung Fu: The legend continues never impressed me with its fighting sequences.

Hey, no one watches NCIS for the fight scenes.... its my favorite show for other reasons, Ziva and Abby being high on the list....

Just tried to Youtube search some fight scenes from that show and all I got were lovers quarrels between the two main stars...lol. I have the first season on my hard drive...I'll see if I can find a clip and figure out how to load it.

The unarmed fights in Highlander were usually good for Choy Li Fut & Hung Gar based choreography.

LOL, Sammo Hung. Yep, that's who I'm thinking of. Never saw the show, but remember it was supposed to have some MA in it.

Thinking more, I do recall seeing some 'epic' fight sequences on 'The Bill'.....

The one that springs to mind involved one of the coppers and a perp who outweighed the cop by at least 25 kilos, had a mad wrassle in a **** hole apartment that ended with the cop locking in a mean looking goose neck from side control.

    That was pretty cool.
