M4 Charging handle extensions

I've seen more than one of those after-market charging handles snap off, leaving the shooter somewhat fucked. I tend to eschew them, but I also have more effeminate hands than most women, so I may not be sensitive to your think-fingered needs.

I don't know how much webbing you wear, nor how you carry your rifle at the ready. Make sure you don't catch the fucking thing on your shirt, or harness, or some random indoor corner, or an M-67 as you draw down. That's just asking for a double-feed when you need one the least.

Generally speaking, you don't really want to **** with the engineering on your guns. The usual trade off for enhanced ergonomics is reliability.

Good points. I think it's important to realize the differences in "wear and tear" between military operations, LE applications and civilian defensive, hunting or competition use.

Sometimes **** just happens. I once caught my handcuffs on my name tag while cuffing a suspect and ripped my shirt. Million to one shot, but they got stuck. I tried to tug them off once, and when it didn't work I secured her with my other pair and led her to my cruiser while the 'cuffs just dangled there.

The less hangy outy pokey doodads you have the better.

Back when I actually owned an AR-15 it was a target rifle and came stock with an extension from DPMS. I actually really liked it. It wasn't really that important or anything, but it was a nice add on and I used it more often than not.
