    The pics you posted were of old body builders. That does not apply to the type of strength attained purely through martial arts training. We don't train to look "buff", we train to increase attacking power, cardio, breathing, and attack resistance (the ability to tank hits).

    all actions which, if done with properly and with resistance, would build musculature.

    you do realize that many old school boxing trainers were vehemently against weightlifting for their fighters, yet they were all pretty jacked.

    First result after a basic google search of "8th dan isshinryu".

    As for those statistics and this and that and blablabla...the fact is I don't care for you or this blog, or even my point enough to do the kind of intensive research it would require to provide statistics to back up those points. Touche to you.

    On a side note, I am impressed by Randy Couture's big powerful love handles.
