simple works in BJJ. if you do the simple things well you will do well
being tight, good base and technique

Marcus is simple but he focuses on the littles things in his techniques

Ask any high level guy they will tell you the same ex Roger Gracie, Kron

they do like the same moves but do it very well

in my opinion being too fancy leaves you to be open and less tight

i love the move but my question is if it is practical?

the sliding the foot under the body is the hard part

ill try it to see if it works while rolling

I will say that i just got mine but after 3 years of training constantly

Other clubs in town promote to blue afer 3 months. I have been able to tap blues, purples and stalemated a brown in these clubs

My instructor doesnt promote unless he feels you deserve it. Some guys take one year and one guy took 6 years in our club. He is known as one of the toughest to get belts from in the world.

I think knowledge lets you post here not belt color

No, you didn't you misunderstood a post. Someone commented that they were to new to grappling and thought being a blue belt or above made you able to post in here

No. Technique questions that can be answered in one minute by an instructor don't warrant discussion in DHS. That's really the criteria that should inform whether your post belongs in DHS or gitmo.

Can a white belt ask a question that belongs in DHS? Of course. Ultimately, I don't care what it says in your style field or how much grappling experience you have. What I care about is filling this forum with useful, high content material so that it continues to be a valuable resource for intermediate and advanced grapplers. So keep it topical or don't bother to post.

van-bjj, if you want to post offhand comments, please do so in YMAS. The more knowledgeable I know you are, the more latitude you have in this forum. Until then you need to keep your posts on topic and informative in the advanced forum.
