Just go to the fucking doctor already. If it's as bad as you're hinting at you've a reasonably serious problem, and no one here can help you.
The other possibility is that you have a slight asymmetry (which is pretty common) and you've blown it out of all proportion in your imagination. Which would explain why you're having such a hard time giving a proper description of the problem, along with the numbers Russ asked for.
Either way, seeing a doctor/physio would be the best way of fixing the problem. -

Wait, so your PEC tenses when you do curls? You know that's normal right? It's part of the chain of muscles that operates your arm. When I curl my pec, bicep, my lower back, my shoulder and my forearm are all tensing up. The only way I can even begin to avoid that is by getting on one of those machine doohickies that lets you lay your arm down on a support of some kind while you sit down. That takes a lot of the other muscles out, but my pec still tenses up some.
Are you sure this isn't entirely normal and you just don't know WTF you're doing?
