Whilst browsing the depths of the internets doped up on pain meds, I stumbled upon this. Mildly NSFW, for gore but no nudity:

To me it looks like SAW (the movie) had sex with a MORTAL KOMBAT arcade cabinet, and the baby was born addicted to meth. I would say "realistic" would be a bad word to describe this, but they seem to have taken out a lot of the mystical elements from the game.

I did some research and found out this is supposed to be a proof of concept to get a movie studio to produce another MK film. It's supposedly directed by the guy who did Undisputed 2 and 3. Link: http://www.chud.com/articles/article...VIE/Page1.html

It's going to be B movie garbage, without a doubt. But it's Mortal Kombat, not the English Patient, so it's supposed to be B movie garbage.

I am oddly curious about this. If it gets made, I'd probably rent it.

There is some bad blood with Daniel Pesina, the guy who portrayed Johnny Cage in the original game. Apparently he appeared as Johnny Cage in an advertisement for another non-Midway game. Midway got pissed and they fired him.

Pesina got pissed and sued the makers of the 1995 film version of MK for likeness royalties, even though he didn't appear in the film.

After that, they killed him off in effigy in the games and movies.
