OK, I spoke with Sheldon Marr at this number. He verifies that Steve Arce is 4th dan in Judo under him, and has been since 1996. I'm not sure what the basis for JudoSensei's claim is, but it has been contradicted.
Not "seems". That was sarcasm on by behalf.

I 100% agree with SamboSteve on this. It is entirely possible that Neil's intention with this charge was to "sow discord in the ranks:. If that is the case, we should absolutely stop obliging him.
Everyone please stop and save it for later if you like.
@JudoSensei In light of coach Marr's statement you should retract your claim that Steve Arce is not a Judo BB.Now darkness comes; you don't know if the whales are coming. - Royce Gracie

If Neil has sour grapes...then let him...fact...Gokor flew past him in USA Judo...Neil is stuck at 06th Dan...Gokor is up for 09th Dan...Neil is also mad that I was and am right about Ude Garami attacking the shoulder joint...Neil does not come here to help people learn Judo...I do. Neil does not have people from here come and learn Judo from him. I do. Neil does not help people here win. I do. Neil is just bitter.

How did that come about? Understand, I'm not qualified to judge whether Gokor should be promoted or not. I just wasn't aware that Gokor was that involved in what might be called "mainstream" Judo. I've seen him at US Senior Nationals, the US Open, coaching a few years ago when I was a national referee and was mat supervisor at those events in the '90s and early 2000's.
