    Ive never got a wrist lock standing but I catch people with the one from the triangle. the arm that is inside is just waiting to be wrist locked

    I think what you're talking about is using dirty techniques on the ground. Breaking fingers, eye gouges, etc

    The thing is if a fight against a trained grappler went to the ground - they are the ones who are good at controlling position and moving on the ground. In short, a BJJ or wrestling stylist on the ground, would probably be in a much better position to eye gouge you or break your fingers if they wanted too.

    Its like saying - if I as a BJJ stylist were on standup against a boxer, why don't I just punch them in the jaw and knock them out? Do they have some sort of defense against this?
