They dont focus to much on judo arm and wrist throws because they say they have low chance of being succesful in MMA events . I trained at kage one in southern illinois in college. Im back in chicago now so im looking for a new place to train.
Judo "arm and wrist" throws? What the flying fuckbar?

No. You put a guy in the gym long enough to put on considerable mass, he's going to gain strength as well.

What you could say is that "most bodybuilders" are not skilled fighters, seeing as they're not training to fight.

Agreed. When a bodybuilder cuts, esp. for competition, they are at the weakest point of their cycle. That's not the same as being weak as ****.

Russ, what about "functional muscle", bodybuilders don't have "functional muscle"?

Look, dude, you evaded damage, you hit him more than a few times, you didn't get hit. Drunks might seem to shake it off but enough sharp cracks to the face combined with the adrenaline wearing off makes meek of the man mountain faster than you'd think. You try aiming for pressure points in that situation, or trying to "redirect their force", you are going to find yourself clinching with someone much bigger than you.

Hypotheticals don't help, as I said, you are always going to think you can do more than you think you did. Stop worrying about it, do Judo, keep doing MMA as it seems to help your evasion skills, bulk up and don't listen to anyone who reckons that hitting their "soft spots" would have done any better.

It bares repeating, but Battlefields nailed this one on the first page. Don't play the WHAT IF game ... what if he had a gun, what if a bomb blew up in your shoe, what if Omega showed up to laugh in your face, flip you off then walk away.
