Arthur Leon Rhodes, a.k.a. "Lee Shadow Bear", is an instructor of kung fu san soo in Colorado. He has made a number of claims of elite military service, including service in the US Marine Corps, BUD/S training, service in combat, and assignments to multiple Special Forces units in the Marine Corps and Army.

Man, what a tool. I attended a military training school that was joint-Navy/Marine. It just so happened that one of the students was also a SEAL from either Dam Neck or Little Creek, which was just down the road. The class was full as we discovered when a Marine from the West Coast to report in and didn't have a seat. The SEAL, being a local, gave up his school seat to the out of town Marine and said since he was local he would just wait a couple months for the next class to convene. Months later...after this course was, I discovered one of the other students (who failed out of the school for being a choad) was telling people "he trained with the SEALs".

I have also seen many SEAL support guys (boar drivers and such) claiming they were shooters.

I have seen marital artists who conduct a seminar where a special forces or SEAL just so happened to be attending (not at all within the capacity of their military association, they just happened to be martial arts practitioners on their free time) and that guy later had on his website "Trains Special Forces, SEALs," etc. That **** is weird to me. A guy I used to train with is like this, and I really, really, really don't understand what goes on in their head. Self-promotions to 10th dan, "rank-trading" with other "Soke's", exaggerating about their association with the military (to the point which I will call it a lie), and/or making incredibly nebulous statements that guide people to assume they worked with "agencies which I can't name." Do they know they are full of ****? Is it something like you feel bad the first time, but its gets easier and easier over time? *sigh* Stolen Valor Act up.
