Have a thick skin in this forum. If you were interested in training Taekkyon. Do some serious research or ask around because it is not easy to find Taekkyon outside South Korea.

    Enjoy!

To Babo Ah, Im not taking this personally. Glad to find people with this amount of knowledge to ask. Thanks for the tip about the training. I guess it doesnt matter to me about it being real or not if I like it. It just looks fun.

    To Auslander
Not trying to be mysterious and sorry. The guy I worked with named John practiced some martial art that did a lot of tumbling but also had high kicks. We called him yoda because he walked on a cane a lot of the time but then did these martial arts at noon times out on the grass. I got to know him because we both did rock climbing and went together some times. I cant find out about his nick on here because he got sick and left work here and I think he died. That's all I can tell you and sorry again if it doesnt help.

    Not Great

I dont know anything about martial arts but I can guess that when someone lets you take one class and then wants a six month contract a fee to join up and a special uniform, all with debit all up front then it is maybe not a great school.

I met a guy on the weekend who teaches capoaira and wants 30 bucks a month in cash. I can handle that better and it looks a lot the same.

Thanks again you guys, especialy for the warnings

Capoeira is great for getting in shape and building cardio. But definitely not ideal or recommended choice for purpose of fighting (self-defense or not).

What's your best trick? Post up some vids! If you were already a gymnast then you should have some slick moves in Capo by now.
