Looking for help on an unknown style

    Good Afternoon:

At the suggestion of a member in Newbietown, I am posting this question here.

I hope this is not too odd for a request as a first post. I practice no martial arts at this time but would like some information which you might have off the top of your heads.

My girlfriend and I spent some time at a Korean festival recently. We got to a demonstration of various martial arts but we were late to the start I did not catch the name of the one style that caught my eye.

While the other demonstrations used high kicking and some throwing, this one was extremely acrobatic, one part where the demonstrator sort of ran up and over his opponent before throwing him down. It also seemed to use more close in kicks than the other styles.

I am a gymnastics student and found this interesting but could not get the name of the style. If anyone could help me out, that would be great and thank you for your help.

    Thanks!

The date and name of the demonstration would help. Did you try youtube?

I'm saying Hopkido. Every demonstration that I have seen of Hopkido, was a bunch of people doing flips with kicks and stuff like that. Sounds like what you are talking about.

    Hi,

To It Is Fake: This was last summer in Edmonton which has a big cultural festival. I know its not much help. I just posted in newbietown and I pasted it here.

I got a crap answer later yesterday. The dude said it was Korean kung fu whatever that means.

I think Ill forget about it. Thanks guys for taking the time to answer my question and for the sick links.

    Thanks!

Sorry to cut in with a stupid question but thank you for your help.

I see some videos on YouTube with that name. It looked kind of the same but isn't that kind of dishonest having vietnemese martial arts at a korean thing?

To Auslander. I don't have any martial arts experience so I have no way of knowing what I did to get you angry with me. Sorry about that.
