David Kerr in Pasadena

Hi Im not sure I i should post this here( ima noob) but i was looking for a MMA school in Pasadena and I came across this guy:

On his website he doesnt offer any certification, though claims to be an expert in JKD concepts and BJJ etc. I messaged him about his certification and such, but I have yet to receive a reply.:5dragon:

Well, he's got "Desui Ground Fighting" listed...

Googled it, comes up with Shaolin and Wing Chun links....

Ok, I'm going to necro a 2010 thread for a minute. I'm moving to the area and have been researching schools in the Pasadena, CA area. While doing so, I came across this school and this bullshido thread. It perked my interest, so I did some research.

It seems that David Kerr is a registered sex offender who "lost" is job as a teacher after inappropriate photos and texts with underage girls, two of which attended the school were he was teaching.

According to the article, he also seemed to exaggerate his college football experience.

I'm personally going to say I'm not going to be training with him, regardless of whatever other doubts that I have about his MA experience and credentials. I'll let any future perusers of these forums looking for schools in the Pasadena, CA area make their own decision.

Thank you for that info, Omega Supreme. We move in a week, and I'll be doing some "trial" classes with a few schools I've been looking at.

But, right now, I'm leaning towards MT at http:\\www.sityodtongla.com A major advantage is that it would be about 3 miles from our new place.

And/or continuing FMA training by starting with Nick Papadakis in N. Hollywood.

Of course, there are one hell of a lot of good schools in the area. That, combined with the shift work that work will be bringing, will make for some tough decisions once we land and get settled.
