The Site Told Me To...
stop by Newbietown and say "hi" and so I am.
I mostly train BJJ and freestyle grappling these days, but my core arts are Modern Arnis and Alliance Kali. I've been training since '85 (but 16 years of that was wasted on the worst sort of TMAs) and never really stuck with any style until I discovered the FMAs and RBSDSs. I ran a small school in Hamilton, NY for a while, but scared away too many students by not being the white pajama cult they were hoping for.
I fight as an amateur when there is an opportunity near by, but I'm just as interested in fighting for the hell of it at gym or school as I am in fighting for some belt or trophy. I'm an MMA fan and not just a UFC fan.
That's me (martial arts wise) in a nutshell.
I came to this site because I'm really sick of all the black belt nut jobs I encounter on other sites who KNOW the ultimate secrets of the self defense/combat world, but have never put it on the line out in the really real world.
Now maybe the Site will stop bugging me about posting something
"The site told me to..." That defense will never hold up in court, mister. Welcome to BS.
Give it a week and then it'll start nagging you again like a needy bitch.
