Cool, what do you mean by feeding? To me it means feeding techniques to drill defences, but done with aliveness and no compliance so if the response isn't right it's followed up - like a stage between technical drills and free sparring - is that what you meant, Tsfen?
I think the OP meant not so much to asses how good the guys are now, but weather this is this type of training that will make them better, MMAMickey. Depending on what the rest of their training is like it looks good, while I'm not too keen on WC techniques, if you're going to do anything with it this is how you would mix it up and build up to useful sparring IMO. What do the guys who know what they're on about think? -

It looks as though one guy is impersonating MMA.. badly, and allowing the other guy to work on it using WC. why would a WC guy come in turned sideways throwing repeated jabs and retreat in a boxing style coverup?

Kitamon thinks "feeding" means Aikido drilling, (running and diving!).
Kamon Guy thinks it means "a system by which an attacker throws any technique in randomly whilst you deal with it. Advanced stages include full resistance with whatever said opponent chooses".
Kung-fu Joe wonders if that means something like Karate's ippon- and gohon-kumite.
Tonuzabe reckons it involves Bunny Rabbits.
You post a video of, "throw a punch and stand there to get hit", training. Presumably meaning you regard it as having the same level of compliance as in Kitamon's experience of Aikido; or did you mean the thread about feeding animals steroids?
I suppose my guess was close to Kamon Guy's but a bit off, it seems to be a semi-compliant training exercise. Though overall one of those terms that mean whatever you want it to.
From the video I guess the OP is using Kamon guy's definition of the term, (he seems to share a similar background); a step above, "throw a punch and stand there", but a long, long way from actual sparring.
The OP question still stands though, Any good? Clearly better than more traditional WC training I've seen IMO, if trad WC is what you're working with then an exercise like the OP is one way of taking a step in the right direction.
I wonder though if they wouldn't be better off dropping the WC and starting from the bottom in BJJ.Last edited by Adam_F; 5/22/2010 9:33am at .

Edit:
You have 2 MMA guys saying it is bad. So, no, your red herring of "Traditional" doesn't fly. Better bad is still Bad.
Oh and to the rest of your post uhmm where did you get Kitamon or are you trying to be funny?
I gave you a specific search criteria.
Kamon Wing Chun and Alan Orr. I'll be more specific next time.Last edited by It is Fake; 5/22/2010 9:41am at .
