I've seen that happen before. There are some things that help. Fuzzing the pic a but can help, reducing resolution (contraintuitively), sometimes image skewing is an issue. Sometimes too low a resolution or too much "noise" in the image. I've had some scans OCR spank'n well and some for absolute dogdoo.

BTW I have W. Billy Wood and EJ Harrison's wrestling book on the way...you seen that one? is it any good?
Why does this sound so familiar?

What books might you have that you would be willing to sell/trade?
Beats me. This is the first time I've considered it. :)

It's mentioned in this EJMAS article:
    http://ejmas.com/jalt/2005jalt/jcsart_Svinth2_1205.html

and pops up a few times in one of the yahoo group archives, but other than that I haven't seen too many references to it.

Whats a hard cover 1951 edition of Championship Fighting by Jack Dempsey worth roughly? I'm working on a deal to buy a copy right now and I think I have a very good price based on what I have found so far but I cannot exactly find a blue book value guide for books like this. Any advice? Thanks

If you wait for one to come up on Ebay you can often get a much better bargain than if you get one from a bookseller/Amazon. Last month I finally got myself a copy, for 40 (about 60 US dollars at the moment) off Ebay. Dust jacket is a little tatty round the edges but overall it's a solid copy.

Oh ya I know ebay can be a great place for deals. I'm still kicking myself for missing a first edition of GET TOUGH for $4.99 but I feel better knowing another will eventually come up.
