First, this is Mark not Ron.
Second, I'd find that old Journal of Asian Martial Arts article on Jon Blumming sometime. Jon was there and his comments were both enlightening and VERY upsetting to the faithful. Jon says all the "superman" stories all seemed to have happened before anyone else was around. His comments not mine; but as I said, he was there.
It is odd that in Japan "karate" seemed to be what, to use an old term, the "greasers" did. Judo is what the good guys did.
