Of course this is Oyama speaking.. you know
The guy who claims to have "fought" and killed bulls; but there is no proof.
The guy who did all that breaking stuff in his books, which was all proven to be staged and fake...
..which we learn from his top student Jon Blumming.
Now we get a sales pitch about why Judo sucks?
One question, was the Japanese Police Department training with Oyama or the Kodokan?
Nuff Said."Out of every hundred men, ten shouldn't even be there, eighty are just targets, nine are the real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the one, one is a warrior, and he will bring the others back." -- Hericletus, circa 500 BC -

This is an old speech. Oyama was a great karateka but he was also a great hypeman.
Oyama was also a Judoka who learned from the great Kimura himself.
Ron there is proof of his "bull" fights but they were far from some massive Brahams as usually depicted in drawings. And I've seem the scars from his loses.______

It feels like an irony though. We all know that the most Karate dojo and styles have lot of bullshit but some styles seem to work, and it seems that Kyokushin is one of them. It's sad to see so much 'bull' from the founder such a style.
I noticed also:
'Karate had a very bad image. Judo was the powerful might and Karate was always the “bad”. Karate was associated with gangsters and always lost to Judo in the people’s minds, in books and in movies. Fortunately Karate doesn’t have this image today, be- cause it eventually became known that Karate and only Karate comes from Zen.'
So Oyama thought that gangster = useful for streets? They why don't we all learn Yakuza-ryu? It is be t3h deadly st33t art! Yes, even more than _ing _hun and ninjutsu combined! And even stronger than 52 blocks.
Also can i have some more info for Jon Blumming than what wiki says?Last edited by Chado; 5/20/2010 1:07am at .
