I am glad you didnt tell her. I wish i had more friends like you hopefully she goes to one of those classes and gets her ass handed and reconsiders the meaning of life. I have a taekwondo BB friend just like that who told me that a wrestler wouldnt be able to take him down cuz he has been doing TKD for so long not to mention he has no skill on ground left alone how to sprawl.

I really want to have a full contact spar with her friend, the other BB, since he feels the same way she does, just to open his eyes. During a spar I had with another guy though that involved him getting doubled, kimura'ed and finished with an armbar, my gf heard him say he'd never spar me. If I can though, I'll vid and post it for sure.

I friendly sparred my TKD bb friend (the same one who says no one can take him down). I let him hit me a couple of times just so he got comfortable even though he was trying to wail at my head i refrained from hitting him on his head.
I just threw one body punch and the dude went down saying i hit his dick. Everyone in class knew that was an excuse cuz he was gassing out just punching me and he didnt want to spar after that. That is what happens when people do compliant no contact sparring, your body is not conditioned to fight and the first solid hit you get takes the fight right out of you. -

yeah, I've had many similar conversation with BJK guys. I say "All of the Bujinkan Japanese shihan who are worth training with all did judo & hard-style karate & **** before coming to the Bujinkan, and they ALL did the Bujinkan techniques HARD back in the day. Of course they can pull them off, they train them hard against resisting opponents. They all did hard striking condition against trees & ****, too."
They almost always answer "Yeah, but we don't have to train like that any more because (fill in the blank) says so. It's all about sensitivity & stuff..." or "We don't have to prove they work because Takamatsu-sensei proved they worked like a century ago, fought his way across Japan, China, & Korea blahblahblah..."
These rote answers used to drive me absolutely crazy..."Judo is a study of techniques with which you may kill if you wish to kill, injure if you wish to injure, subdue if you wish to subdue, and, when attacked, defend yourself" - Jigoro Kano (1889)

What I don't get is they say they "Proved Them" centuries ago, well dumbfucks, they proved them by training to do them HARD on RESISTING opponents, so IF they worked, that's why. You don't hear about them carving bloody swatches through any landscape by half sparring on compliant partners.
