Ninjutsu / Taijutsu fail

Ever wonder how easy it is to get your 2nd degree backbelt in Taijutsu, well look no further. This is a school in Eldersburg, Maryland called Tristar Martial Arts. They are near my Hapkido school and I swing by every once in awhile for a good laugh to watch them.

This place is a joke and just a belt factory. They even have a banner on the back of the wall that says “This is a Black Belt School”

Now, it doesn't look like black belt techniques either. Just sayin'...

This must have been a choreographed display/celebration/award ceremony after the grading. Funny they didn't have enough confidence in Taijitsu techniques not to fill it with what looks like Taekwondo; unless I've just seen unusual Taijitsu and everywhere else it looks like TKD!

I would have said they looked more mid Kyu level, but long ago realised that a BB means nothing outside of a particular club/organisation.

(I'm not slighting the efforts of the kids, they did everything that was asked of them and seem to be working hard; it's just that if the BB is there to give a sense of achievement, then it should be hard to get!)

Now, I'm not taking anything away from your tkd blackbelt, since it may well be awesome, but just 'cause someone else blows doesn't say anything about your ability.
