Absolutely concur, although I would characterize it more as an aversion to looking bad than losing per se. He was known to go bananas on any of his people that managed to tag him in sparring, which may have contributed to his ability to remain "untouched in sparring". Just saying that JKD was ahead of the curve for Aliveness. In fact, what is the background of the guy who coined that term?
