I looked up again just as the guy grabbed the girl buy the throat and slammed her against the wall.
Deja vu - I once rounded a street corner and saw exactly the same thing happen. Big Polynesian guy. The woman saw me over the guy's shoulder, then he turned around to see what she was looking at. He evidently didn't want to risk continuing the assault with a witness, grabbed her purse and started to run away, then for some reason stopped and threw the purse back at us before running again.

Same scenario, I checked that she was OK and offered to escort her to a safer area but she refused everything and seemed more embarrassed than anything else. I got the feeling that it was some sort of domestic "scene" rather than a random mugging.

No every "culture" does not get to be equally valuable. Watch Jersey Shore with your eyes closed and tell me that it is a beautiful sub culture that we should embrace. Members of that fail society are physically identifiable because their choices have physical consequences. Using those identifiers to recognize possible idiots does not make you a bad person.

Have to admit that I jumped from page one to this dialog on racism.

To the original question, I once jumped out of my truck to help the young lady being beaten in the vehicle in front of me while stopped at a red light.

After dragging the guy out and administering some of his own medicine, I suddenly found myself being beaten with the wooden soled shoe of his victim.

    Go figure.

Back to whatever you people are talking about now.......

That's actually a pretty common scenario hungryjoe, it's practically a cliche.

And again, I don't see much of a difference, please explain your stance in simpler terms, if you will.

No, but I do live in New Jersey, where I have heard g-words shouting "The guidos are here, party time!" Why do they do that? Who the hell knows?

And again, I realize this is not an entirely black and white issue (no pun intended,) but there do exist major double standards which we need to take a much closer look at before we say one type of slang is fine, while another is taboo.

Also, **** "reality tv" with a rusty chainsaw.

I am ashamed to admit this...but I allow my wife to physically abuse me. She has stabbed me with a steak knife three times...in my back...she stomped my face and head...worse than Sims Mir...we are getting a divorce...she took my money and filed against me...so my personal life is at an all time low...I tool a LOT of current top tier MMA athletes...and I could easily harm (and worse) my wife...with 05% of my being (skill, power, size, brutality, etc.,)...but she is female...and she is the mother of my only child...

Sorry to vent. Sorry to bother you ALL with my problems.
