Well...at least you didn't attempt to cut to the non-existant 145lb division.

Couldn't have even if I wanted to. Getting sick has really fucked up my weight. As a matter of fact, I have a Muay Thai match in two weeks, and I've got like 10 days to lose 7 pounds.

7 pounds in 10 days is easy. Read the grapplearts article on cutting.

Also, there is one moment that I am proud of. When I was warming up with R, the state champ wrestler, we started rolling fairly competitively. During the standup, I actually managed to land a takedown on him (something that's very rare for me). I went for an uchi mata, which took him off balance, but didn't drop him. Just before he could regain footing, I swept his other foot right out from under him. That totally made my day.

I looked it up, its a Indiana Chicago thing. About on par with NAGA on quality, not close to as big, only around 500 guys at max ever come.

Just so you can learn about Chicago tournaments :happy8:: http://c3fighter.com/home2.htm

Yeah, I know I shouldn't be worrying as much as I am. I've lost more than that in ten days before, but I usually start dieting pretty far out. I'm wicked nervous right now, because every day counts.

Also, thanks, that's a good idea. That article is really good, and I'll definitely reference it to do the sodium+gallon of water a day thing.

Out of curiosity, how much weight do you cut for your fights, and whats the most that you've cut?

Ah, wow dude, that sucks. My coach, Matt Cooper, has had a rant on the infinitemma forums about this issue: promoters for money (who cut corners), and promoters for the love of the sport (hopefully make some money, but don't cut corners).

I think it's starting to be a big issue. http://infinitemma.com/index.php/for...wthread/14751/
Daniel: I don't know if I know enough karate.

    Miyagi: Feeling correct.

Daniel: You sure know how to make a guy feel confident.

Miyagi: You trust the quality of what you know, not quantity.
