hehehe, thats not how a dutch accent in english sounds.
the truth is, it sounds MUCH goofier then that.
the sss sound is somewhat accurate, but its more scandinavian/german accent, but veerder.
Bas's accent is not typical dutch, he's sorta copying the american slang/dialect.
in school we learn brittish english, but a lot of dutch people speak 'american english' because about 70% of our tv-shows are from the usa.

My cousin speaks English with a bit of a Dutch accent. She is an English Teacher at a (whatever Dutch Equivalent of a 6th form college is) school in south Amsterdam. It is funny to hear her as she does not realise she is doing it, and switches to Received Pronunciation when teaching or concentrating or on the phone.
It’s funny because she is from the West End of Glasgow like me but her accent has migrated.

hang on just a minute, west end of glasgow is ghetto side.
with all them flats full of alcoholics and junkies, right?

If Bas makes Dutch people seem "veerd," what do Overeem and Manhoef do? Or Gilbert Yvel?

He should have been the actual stage security. That would be truly epic !

Dutch always sounds really weird to me because I'm used to the Afrikaans accent.

YouTube- Bas Rutten vs Warpath
found a clip where bas fights a guy with an iron chin. it is really unbelievable that this man can withstand this kind of blows
Posted On:5/14/2010 5:29am
If I remember correctly, the kick that dropped the guy was just Bas' big toe.

Wow Bas was really trying to not throw those leg kicks. Too bad for warpath he has such a good chin.
