    the sss sound is somewhat accurate, but its more scandinavian/german accent, but veerder.

    Bas's accent is not typical dutch, he's sorta copying the american slang/dialect.
    in school we learn brittish english, but a lot of dutch people speak 'american english' because about 70% of our tv-shows are from the usa.

    My cousin speaks English with a bit of a Dutch accent. She is an English Teacher at a (whatever Dutch Equivalent of a 6th form college is) school in south Amsterdam. It is funny to hear her as she does not realise she is doing it, and switches to Received Pronunciation when teaching or concentrating or on the phone.
    It’s funny because she is from the West End of Glasgow like me but her accent has migrated.

    Dutch always sounds really weird to me because I'm used to the Afrikaans accent.
