I'm going, and I'm fairly confident I'll get slaughtered.
Seriously, I'll probably be used as a grossly oversized, sweaty mop to wipe the mats with.
I'm terribly out of shape (read: superfat), haven't done -any- grappling in the past two months, and even before my sabbatical, I sucked. On the plus side, it's not too far away, and I happen to have $45 dollars lying around.
I'll be going in the heavyweight novice division. Anyone else showing up?

I had not heard of this, I may look into going and I'd end up in the heavyweight novice division as well!
I do not aspire to be great, or even good, I hope to suck a little less then last class.

Woohoo! I know very little about CNY, other than my Judo club recently worked out a deal where they can teach in their Watertown school.
I've only been to the Watertown location, and even then only twice. I think I said "hello" to the guy in charge of the local chapter, and that's it. I have done zero grappling the in past two months, and have gotten wickedly fat--last I weighed, I was 309 lbs. As a reference, I consider "reasonably healthy me" to be at 220, and "PT Awesome" at 200. I'll be sucking bawls within a few minutes, I'm sure.
If you do decide to come, great!
