Well, our smoker today was a great success. Ran smoothly and we had a lot of great grapplers show up.

Special thanks goes to Denny Prokopos of 10th Planet SF for bringing over 4 game grapplers, one of whom, Alex Yokum, took home the "Most Submissions" Award. Also Special thanks to the excellent grapplers from Faita Tomashii club in Daly City who came and left their mark on the intermediate and advanced divisions, including James Cotter who shared one of two "Most Technical" awards we handed out for the afternoon. Further special thanks to Sean Roberts of Ralph Gracie Dublin who came in and laid waste to our Advanced division, taking home the other "Most Techinical" Grappler award. Finally a shout out to Luis Ocon of Pitbull (Peninsula) BJJ who took home the "Best Submission" Award for his numerous sweet flying triangles and a picture perfect "Chaotic Armbar" (as named by Dave Camarillo).

Also want to extend thanks to Chris Shimana of Team Reno who made the trek down from Fallon Nevada to face some very tough competition and gave some really game performances. Also to Nick Greene of Heroes BJJ for coming down to keep the other light heavyweights honest. Also want to mention a great showing by Joe Wettstein of Gilbert Melendes gym, and the same to Victor Tham of Triune BJJ. Lastly want to thank Hamish Robertson of Auckland MMA for his game showing.

Also to all the other game grapplers who came and put it on the line today, it was a great event thanks to you.

Additionally a huge shout out to Van of Strongvon for helping with the brackets and making it all work.

Finally, to my coach and gym director Lily Pagle for making it all possible, a huge thank you.

For anyone who missed it, it was an excellent event, and hope to see you next time.
