Wasn't Vunak pretty well respected in some JKD circles earlier? Now, granted, there are all flavors of JKD, good and bad. I have a vague memory of the lineage being something like Lee -> Inosanto -> Vunak, and that Vunak used to spar full contact and such.

Again - this video sucks. And is the next FOOM. And is funny as hell. :) But I think that Vunak might not be the worst Martial Artist out there...

The effectiveness/lack of isn't really what's funny about the video.

How exactly is what he is showing ineffective? Its crude, but these are all techniques that work.

Vunak is a very good martial artist. I believe he holds a high rank in BJJ as well.

Paul Vunak was training BJJ with Rickson before many of you were born.

Is he a decent guy in person? In some of his videos he comes off as a huge d-bag with his excessive mannerisms and eyebrow molding.

P.S. Just got back from Costco with steaks for tommorow's kid's class and am currently fashioning them into meat hogus for all the little ones.

If he can fight why is he doing this shite and basically encouraging people to infect themselves with god knows what by biting? I'm sure he's a competent grappler and is "tough", but he's also peddling bullshit, so it's kind of negated.

Its hard to find RBSD vids that do not cover biting. Vunak can fight cause he's done some kickboxing, BJJ and weapons with FMA. However his whole angle/niche is RBSD. Otherwise why would anyone give this guy the time of day.

And for the record he promotes nibbling not biting :XXjester:

Ok so I got confused and thought the above video was another one where he shows an escape to a RNC using a nibble. I haven't actually seen this video before. And holy **** is it ass crazy. Why would anyone bite somebody if they had mount?? I can understand if you were in an inferior position, ie RNC, side control or mounted, but not if you already have mount! I also think he is honestly overestimating how effective his bite is. A piece of dead meat with no skin is far different then a live person with intact skin squirming away.
