I'm the organizer of the EuroMega Throwdowns and I hope to see you there on the 2nd of October.

You can rest assured that noone is going to beat you up there, it will be more of a big sparring/training session with a BJJ/MMA workshop by a very knowledgable person (Wim Deputter), maybe I will do this year also a Muay Thai workshop, but I'm not sure of that at this moment.

You can participate in sparring (medium, max or full contact) under any ruleset with anyone there. Ruleset and contact level are decided by you and your sparringspartner before you both start and are kept!

It will give you a chance to meet some people with experiences in other styles and afterwards we go for dinner and (late) evening drinks.

PS: use paragraphs in your texts when you type. It's bloody difficult to read a wall of text. Thanks and hope to see you at the EuroMega TD.

The biggest problem in this thread was that I was pretty successfull in MMA sparring and therefore see my way of training as the reason. The throwdown will be an important experience. I'm looking forward to some unsuccessful sparring experiences there.

max contact: hardest that you go with a trainingpartner without the intension to knock him out.

full-contact: hardest against a competitor where a KO can be an option.

the Savate terms are easier to understand:
techniques = min contact
assault = medium contact
pre-combat = max contact
combat = full contact
